How Workflow Works: By Timeline
The Essent Business Management System allows companies to define the activities and processes that make it successful then build them into the system.
There are multiple ways to configure workflow throughout the transaction lifecycle – all definable by the individual company, such as:
By Timeline
Example: Workflow might be configured to follow up with prospects a week after they receive a sample or to follow up with the vendor two days after the order is submitted.
Workflow isn’t just a matter of what needs to get done. It’s a matter of when it needs to get done.
The Essent Business Management System allows companies to configure workflow by timeline.
When the workflow is created, it can schedule the processes and activities for a certain number of days out. Examples include following up with a prospect one week after a sample is sent; following up with the vendor two days after the order is submitted; or sending a customer a personalized card one week after the order is delivered. If an order is a rush order, additionally, then the workflow associated with it can be set on an expedited timeline.
The company defines when workflow is done to fit the way the company does business.
