Updated Terms of Use Address GDPR, Add Transparency

Essent continues to fortify its protection of personal data and will released updated Terms of Use in May.

The new Terms of Use reflect our proactive approach to the General Data Protection Regulation, which increases protections of personal data. The GDPR took effect May 25 and places new obligations on companies who store and process EU personal data.

Whether for payment card data or any other Personally Identifiable Information, Essent is vigilant in protecting personal data. We welcome GDPR and the protections it provides our EU users as well as our customers who serve EU clients.

The updated Terms of Use, encompassing our Master Services Agreement, our Privacy Policy, and our Data Breach Notification Policy, include enhanced clarity and transparency that make it easier to understand the ways Essent protects payment card data and other personal data, for EU users and worldwide.
