EssentOne Connector
The EssentOne Connector is an optional software component that provides a conduit for external third-party systems like third-party Websites to interface with EssentOne. The EssentOne Connector is a formal application programming interface (API) for software developers to interact with the business objects contained within the system. Using the connector, information can be safely submitted to and retrieved from EssentOne, subject to the security restrictions and business rules enforced by the system.
The interface is implemented as a Web Service. The Web Service is accessible via HTTP (HyperText Transport Protocol) and can be called using HTML (HyperText Markup Language) or SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol). The Web Service is described using WSDL (Web Service Description Language). Data is formatted using XML (eXtensible Markup Language). The EssentOne Connector is compliant with current Internet standards, as such, the EssentOne Connector is accessible via the Local Area Network or globally via the Internet using widely supported communication protocols.
